Using This Site

Glow & Gild is published by Fathom & Foundry. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, the appropriate response is not to use the site.

The site is provided for general information. You may read it, link to it, and quote reasonable extracts with attribution and a link back. You may not republish substantial portions of it, scrape it wholesale, or present its content as your own.

Nothing Here Is Medical Advice

This is the term that matters most, so it gets its own section rather than a line of small print.

Glow & Gild does not provide medical advice. The author holds no clinical credential and does not claim one — see the about page. Nothing on this site is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for professional care from a dermatologist, physician, pharmacist or other qualified clinician.

Skin conditions that are painful, spreading, bleeding, asymmetric, changing, or not resolving deserve a clinician rather than a shopping list. So does anything involving prescription medication, pregnancy or an existing diagnosis. Where a page touches on those, it says so — but the general rule is the one stated here.

Ingredient tolerance is individual. Patch test new products, introduce one active at a time, and stop using anything that causes a sustained reaction.

Accuracy and Changes

Content here is compiled from published formulation data, regulatory documents and peer-reviewed literature, sourced on every page. We do not test products, and we state that on every commercial page.

Formulations change, products are discontinued, and regulations are revised. We review pages on the cadence set out in the editorial policy, and we correct errors when they are reported — but we cannot guarantee that every page reflects the most current formulation of every product at every moment. Check the label.

If you find something wrong, email info@glowandgild.com. Corrections are made on the page and noted there.

Affiliate Links and Third-Party Sites

This site contains affiliate links and earns a commission on qualifying purchases. As an Amazon Associate, Glow & Gild earns from qualifying purchases. The full statement is on the affiliate disclosure page and a disclosure appears above the first affiliate link on every commercial page.

Links to other sites are provided for reference. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of anything on the destination beyond the specific thing it was cited for. Any purchase you make is a transaction between you and that retailer.

Intellectual Property and Liability

The text, structure and original imagery on this site are the property of Fathom & Foundry. Stock photography is licensed from its providers. Brand names, product names and trademarks referenced here belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary only; their appearance does not imply any endorsement, affiliation or partnership in either direction.

The site is provided on an as-is basis. To the extent permitted by law, Fathom & Foundry is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, information published here. That is the standard limitation, and it sits alongside the more important point above: for a medical question, ask a clinician.

Who wrote this

By Sawyer V.. An enthusiast who’s genuinely into this: I read the manufacturer documentation, compile the published percentages, and do the arithmetic. No lab coat.

What I don’t do: test products, accept free product, or accept payment for placement. I hold no clinical credential and don’t claim one. How we pick.
