What We Collect
Glow & Gild is a publication, not a service. There are no accounts, no logins, no subscriptions and no shopping cart, so there is very little about you for this site to hold.
- Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which recommendations readers find useful. This includes page views, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. IP addresses are anonymized by Google Analytics before storage.
- Affiliate click events. When you click a buy link we record that a click happened, on which page, and to which retailer — in aggregate. We do not record who clicked.
- Contact form submissions. If you email us through the contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you type. That is used to reply to you and nothing else.
We do not collect payment information, because nothing is sold on this site. Purchases happen entirely on the retailer's own site under their privacy policy.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell or rent personal data. To anyone, for any purpose.
- We do not run a mailing list, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from.
- We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not embed third-party ad or retargeting tags.
- We do not require an account, because there is nothing here to log in to.
Your Rights and How to Reach Us
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to personal data an organization holds about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Because this site holds so little, the practical answer for most requests is that there is nothing to return — but the request is still yours to make.
Email info@glowandgild.com with any privacy question or request and we will respond. For analytics data specifically, Google provides its own opt-out browser add-on, which works across every site using Google Analytics rather than just this one.
Children: this site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version is published here with a new date at the top of the page. Material changes — a new analytics provider, a new affiliate network, anything that changes what is collected — will be described rather than silently substituted, consistent with the correction policy in the editorial policy.
